Systems Engineering :Responsibilities include performing requirements development and hardware definition, functional analysis, requirements derivation, writing: System and component specifications for the International Space Station Secondary (electrical) Power Distribution Assembly, Utility Outlet Panel with MIL-STD-1553 and Ground Fault Circuit Interruption, and the Station Interior Illumination Lamps; experienced writing test plans, procedures, verification requirements; Supported hardware sell-off activities and DD-250, Traceability, Functional Configuration and Physical Configuration Audits; A

Electrical Design supported development of the V-22 Osprey Avionics Interface Unit, Wing Interface Unit, and Nacelle Interface Unit; designed and implemented National Missile Defense Missile Transport Environmental Control Unit 3-Phase Receptacle, External Silo Interface Vault Maintenance Cart single phase Receptacle, and 50 ft 3 -phase  Connection Cable for Missile Transport Environmental Control Unit.

Mechanical Design Desigjned shipping containers and crates for shipment of aerospace hardware.  Also, supported design and development of Proof Pressure, leak rate, glass fllaw screening and random vibration test fixtures and scenarios from conception through test conduct. 

Test Engineering Provided Developmental, Qualification and Acceptance Test Engineering Support including, though not limited to Functional Test, Man-Machine Interface Demonstrations, Hardware/Software Integration, Software Builds and Module Compilations, Performed Environmental Testing including Thermal Vacuum, thermal cycling, Proof Pressure, yield, limit and ultimate Load Testing, random Vibration, Leak rate, Implementation and installation of Strain gages, thermocouples, accelerometers, displacement transducers, and real-time data acquisition thereof; supported Test Setup, Test Readiness Reviews and Test Conduct for the Inetrnational Space Station Hatch, Umbilical Mating Adapter, Forward Releasable Attachment Mechanism, and Payload On-orbit Processor.

Product SUpport performed Validation and Verification of maintenance procedures, diagnostics and Test - wrote phased array radar offset correction PROM programming procedures for the AWACS E-3A Radar as well as Radar Analog Receiver Theory of Operation published in current US Air Force Manuals.  On most recent assignment on the Ground-based Missile Defense (GMD) Program, tasks included supporting National Missile Defense Installation, Assembly, Test and Checkout of Launch Site Components and Peculiar Support Equipment. Currently assigned to Boeing Aerospace Operations (BAO) C-17 Aircrew Training Center at Altus Ari Force Base, Altus, Oklahoma,  to provide Aircrew Training Device Electrical Engineering support to coordinate hardware and software modifications to the C-17 Air Vehicle/Flight Simulator reflective of actual C-17 Aircraft updates and improvements.  Change processing tasks include preparation of overall change objectives, identification of relevant participants, scheduling implementation milestones and montoring change progress.  Hardware and software changes are monitored from inception through implementation on affected Aircrew Training Devices .

 
1982-1985               Micro Engineering       Lavergne, TN                Video Technician§               Built, tested and repaired Video Arcade games.  Converted and upgraded arcade game systems electronics.  Integrated Power Supply, Monitor, Control Panel and Motherboard in game cabinets - assembled Game Control Panels and Wiring Harnesses for Pac Man, Draw 80 Poker, Popeye, Gyrus, Star Trek, Frogger, etc.  Programmed ROM, PROM and EPROM with game executable code

1980-1980               S.A.I. Technology, Inc.            San Diego, CA Electronics Technician§     Calibrated, Tested and Repaired Alpha Particulate Monitors used in Nuclear Power Facilities. Performed burn-in, calibration and final inspection of each unit.  Recorded and assessed system sensitivity to establish background level for measurement of low-energy-level alpha particles.

1976-1980               US Navy                                      San Diego, CA RADAR/ Fire Control Technician§   Performed Organizational maintenance on MacDonnell Douglas F-4J  Westinghouse AWG-10A Radar §         Performed Daily maintenance tasks of Radar Systems in support of Mission Operations including executing Built-in Test and radar system checkout - Removed and Replaced Aircraft Radome, Entire Radar System, Flight Computers, Waveguide Assembly, Individual Waveguide sections,  Klystron Power Amplifier, Stabilized Local Oscillator, Feedhorn, Parabolic Antenna Dish and entire infrared Visual Target Acquisition System,  Performed Antenna Boresight and Servo Optical Sight Alignment- supported Air Combat Maneuvering Range Tests and Missile Shoots.  Stationed aboard the USS Ranger and NAS Miramar.  Received excellent electronics training and troubleshooting skills.
